Jill Abernathy, PMHNP-BC
A calling to uncover root causes.
Jill Abernathy is a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Walden University with her Masters of Advanced Nursing Practice and is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jill works with patients across the lifespan and has extensive experience with children and adolescents in the mental health field.
While Jill's clinical expertise allows her to treat symptoms during visits, her true passion lies in uncovering root issues. By addressing deeper causes of mental health concerns, clients can more fully embrace their authentic selves.
Over the years, Jill has gained experience in diverse settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient substance abuse programs, assertive community treatment (ACT), and crisis intervention. She combines medication management with alternative modalities such as yoga, breath-work, and mindfulness for better, more sustainable outcomes.
Outside of practice, Jill enjoys yoga, adventure travel, scuba diving, time in nature, and her family. She truly has a passion for helping others become their best selves.

Our Philosophy
What is Integrative Psychiatry?
Integrative psychiatry combines traditional psychiatric treatments — like therapy and medications — with holistic practices such as nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and herbal remedies.
The goal is to treat the whole person: not just the symptoms, but also lifestyle factors, emotional well-being, and physical health that shape overall mental balance.
